Paw Spa owner Amanda Gomes graduated her grooming apprenticeship on Nov/8/2013. She then worked at a vet clinic and a small pet store for a year before opening up Paw Spa.

 

I'm  certified in pet first aid & CPR. I'm  also a certified bather,  certified intermediate stylist technician & is certified in the non sporting group trough the Canadian Professional Pet Stylist. Which is the only Federally registered, not for profit certification association for Dog Groomers in Canada. My goal is to become a master groomer. There is 4 more tests to go trough.

I'm is a member of the Ontario Dog Groomers Association, The National Association of Professional Creative Groomers, and a member of the Canadian Professional.

 

I also attend continued education trough out the year, by attending two grooming shows a year

to watch seminars and compete in the ring. And I try to attend 2-3 hands on workshops a year to better my skills.

I currently have 3 dogs myself. All are standard poodles, Moana, Paçoca & Mabel.

​

Paçoca is my conformation and sports dog. She has her UKC Grand Championship & CKC Championship, ABI Championship, Advance trick title, Virtual Home Manners Puppy Title,her Canine Good Citizen Title, Novice Sprinter Title & Temperament Test Title. While Moana has tried many sports, she has her Sprinter Novice title, Advance trick title, Canine Good Neighbor Title & Novice Barn Hunt Title. My newst addition is one of Paçoca's pups I kept, Mabel, she will be a future show and sport dog.

Gone from our lives, but not forgotten is Hope the chihuahua (May/13/2012-June/18/2021) & Niles the toy poodle (Sep/13/2006-Sep/8/2022).
